World-first fan portal wows Cats’ fans and AFL establishment

Waypoint is proud to announce the completion of the Charles Brownlow Stand at Simonds Stadium which started with a master plan way back in 2000. Our 17 year journey with the Geelong Cats has seen over $200 million in funding invested across four stages of development and was topped off by Geelong’s courageous win over the Bulldogs at the stand’s official launch on 19 May 2017.

The Charles Brownlow Stand $91 million redevelopment is nearing completion. Demolition began late 2015. The new stand features world-class training facilities, a world-first fan portal experience, diverse membership and corporate offerings, and a new home for the Geelong Cats social club.

Charles Brownlow roof in place in SIMONDS Stadium’s $90 million redevelopment

Waypoint are proud to announce another significant milestone in the Simonds Stadium $91 million redevelopment with the installation of the first roof bay on the new Charles Brownlow Stand. The roof bay, which is one of 13, was lifted by a 450 tonne crane. The occasion was captured by fans and passers by on smartphone, quickly becoming a hit on social media.
